Where is FOMO available? Countries and restrictions (2026)
FOMO says its app works in most countries. Its Terms name a list of restricted jurisdictions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea and others under US, UK or EU sanctions. Perps are closed to US persons. Robinhood Tokens exclude US, Canadian, UK and Swiss residents. Bank withdrawals work for US accounts only.

FOMO's help centre states that the app "is available in most countries worldwide" and that it can be downloaded and used to trade in any country that is not on the restricted list. The full list of restricted places is in FOMO's Terms, not in the help centre. This page lists those places and adds what the Terms say about perps, Robinhood Tokens and bank withdrawals.

Prohibited jurisdictions in FOMO's Terms
FOMO's Terms, dated 17 August 2026, name these places as restricted jurisdictions:
- Crimea region
- Cuba
- Donetsk
- The Democratic Republic of Congo
- Iran
- Libya
- Luhansk
- Myanmar (Burma)
- North Korea
- Sudan
- Venezuela
- Yemen
The Terms add two more categories. The first is any other country under a US, UK or EU embargo or similar sanctions. The second is any jurisdiction where trading cryptocurrency is prohibited or restricted in any form. FOMO calls this full set the "Restricted Jurisdictions."
The Terms also define "Restricted Persons." A Restricted Person is anyone owned, controlled, located or organised in a Restricted Jurisdiction, or anyone on a US, UK or EU sanctions list.
Can I use a VPN?
No. FOMO's Terms ban using a VPN, or a similar tool, to get around its country restrictions. The Terms name a VPN directly and call this use "strictly prohibited."
The perps rules repeat this ban. To use perps, a user must confirm they will not use a VPN, a proxy or a similar tool to get around the geographic limits on perps. The Terms call VPN use to get around the restrictions a "material breach" of the Terms. They do not name a specific penalty.
United States
The FOMO app and spot trading work in the United States. US users can withdraw to a US bank account, and they can also withdraw as crypto.
A bank withdrawal needs identity verification the first time. FOMO checks a government-issued ID and confirms the user is 18 or older before that first withdrawal. See how to withdraw from FOMO.
Two products are closed to US persons: perps, and Robinhood Tokens. FOMO's Terms define a US Person by citizenship, residence, incorporation or location.
United Kingdom
FOMO's app works in the UK under its general rule for most countries. The UK is not on the restricted list in FOMO's Terms.
Robinhood Tokens are not available to UK residents. Bank withdrawals work for US accounts only, so UK users withdraw as crypto. See withdrawing from FOMO.
Canada
FOMO's app works in Canada under its general rule for most countries. Canada is not on the restricted list in FOMO's Terms.
Robinhood Tokens are not available to Canadian residents. FOMO does not say whether perps are open to Canadian users. The Terms restrict perps to people who are not US persons. Bank withdrawals work for US accounts only, so Canadian users withdraw as crypto.
European Union and elsewhere
FOMO's app works across the EU, and in most other countries, under its general rule. The countries it does not serve are the ones named above. Crypto deposits work everywhere FOMO is available.
Bank withdrawals work for US accounts only, so EU and other non-US, non-UK, non-Canadian users withdraw as crypto. Perps stay open outside the named restrictions, but the Terms let FOMO restrict perps in more countries at its own discretion. FOMO does not name which other countries that discretion covers.
Switzerland follows this group for the app and for withdrawals. FOMO's Terms exclude Switzerland from Robinhood Tokens, alongside the US, Canada and the UK.
Is FOMO regulated?
No. Section 18 of FOMO's Terms states that FOMO is not registered with or licensed by any regulatory authority. The Terms also state that FOMO does not give investment advice.

Is FOMO available in my country?
FOMO's help centre says the app works in most countries. FOMO does not offer the app in a small number of jurisdictions, named in its Terms, dated 17 August 2026. The Terms also exclude any place where crypto trading is prohibited or restricted in any form, so check your local law too.

Why can't US users trade perps on FOMO?
