How much does a referrer earn?
A FOMO referrer earns 25% of a referred user's trading fees. FOMO credits it automatically to the referrer's cash balance, and there is nothing to claim.
The chain decides how it earns. On Base, BNB Chain and Monad, the referrer earns on every trade the referred user makes. On Solana, the referred user's first buy pays the referrer nothing. Every Solana trade after that pays as usual.

FOMO's help centre states two separate numbers: a 10% discount on trading fees, and a 25% referrer share of trading fees. It does not say which fee the 25% is a share of. These figures assume FOMO pays 25% of the fee the referred user actually pays, the discounted 0.45% rate. If FOMO instead calculates the 25% on the undiscounted 0.50% rate, the referrer earns about 11% more than these figures show.
On the account behind this site, referral earnings do not arrive as one daily payment. They land as many small "Received" transfers through the day. We did not check which chain each transfer came from.

Referral program vs affiliate/creator program
FOMO runs two separate programs. Every user gets a referral link automatically, worth 25% of a referred user's fees. A smaller affiliate and creator program pays a separate rate that FOMO does not publish.

FOMO's affiliates page states it has paid "$1.1M+" in referral fees to date. The page carries no date. It does not say how many affiliates split that total, or over what period.
Some third-party sites claim the affiliate program pays 25% to 50%. We found no FOMO source for that number. FOMO's help centre and its affiliates page both describe bonus tiers and higher rates for top affiliates. Neither states a percentage. Treat any specific affiliate commission rate as unverified until FOMO publishes one. Apply at fomo.family/affiliates with an email address and a social handle. FOMO's team responds within a few business days.
Where to find your referral link
Open the FOMO app and go to Rewards, marked with a gift icon. Your referral link sits at the top: fomo.family/r/ plus your username. Your username is also your referral code, so the link and the code point to the same account.

Rules that catch people out
FOMO accepts a referral code once, at signup. A few rules trip people up after that.
- The code field only appears at signup. There is no field to add or change a code inside the app once your account exists.
- Support can attach a missing referrer. If you signed up through someone's link and no referrer was recorded, contact support. Ask to be attached to that username.
- A recorded referrer cannot be removed. Once a referrer is on your account, FOMO will not take it off. It can be changed to a different username through support, but not removed outright.
- No earnings on a referred user's first Solana buy. The referrer earns nothing from that first trade. Every trade after it, on Solana or on an EVM chain, pays the referrer as normal.
Is referring worth it?
For an occasional referral, the money is small. A referred user trading 1,000 USDC a month earns the referrer about 1.13 USDC a month. That assumes a 25% share of the discounted fee. One trading 20,000 USDC a month earns about 22.50 USDC a month. Most memecoin traders do not sustain that volume every month.
Referring pays more when you refer several genuinely active traders. Each one adds its own 25% share. Referring also pays more if you already have an audience. You can then apply to the affiliate and creator program instead. That program pays a rate FOMO does not publish. You cannot calculate an expected return in advance, the way you can with the standard 25%.

Not on the first Solana trade. FOMO's help centre says a referred user's first Solana buy earns the referrer nothing, and every Solana trade after that pays as usual. The referral article does not mention perps at all, so treat perps referral earnings as undocumented.
